After looking at t number of big tournament armies it seems that we have a new trend developing.  In keeping with the new power trend of the books we are seeing smaller and smaller armies with all the big killers coming out to play.  Then these armies are played to avoid combat with most of the troops while the killers go out and score points.   This is fairly effective against horde armies but would have real problems with the gun lines.  Unfortunately such armies have all but disappeared as they are not much fun to play.  Yet the lesson of these armies is that more shooting would work.  Armies do not have to shoot everything off the board to beat these armies only have a bit more shooting.  Elf armies with 30 archers in additional to there normal RBT or dwarves iwth an extra pair of bol throwers, or even Bretonians with 40 archers may be able to keep the big guys honest or score the rest of their armies.
