The other night I and another player were both had some of the same units in games. In my game my pistoliers were their usual awesome self but in his game his were aweful. Now forgetting any play difference one of the biggest differences was that mine were larger.. The unit was pistoliers and mine started at 9 and were shot to 7 then fought some and ended up as 3. In his game he played only 5 and they were shot to 3 and thenran off. Also when I fired the first time I had 20 shots and it almost killed a giant. He shot 10 times and wounded a kroxigor once. Now I have tried to play smaller units of pistoliers but I have found that smaller units just do not work. I feel that many units are useful only at particular size and are worthless smaller. There are many examples of this in warhammer and one of the challenges is to find the right minimum size for units.
