Many player find themselves flanked in warhammer games.  Sometimes this is unavoidable, but often a better set up will minimize the problem.  At the start of a game it is important to identify any primary open areas where troops can fight.  These areas are the larger open areas between terrain.  During set up these areas should be filled with troops.  When doing this it is important to leave 2" or so between units so they can wheel but prevent skirmishers and fast cavalry from moving through the gaps.  Once the major area is filled then the other areas can be dealt with.  These sections can be filled if there is enough troops or blocked with fast cavalry, shooter, or sacrifical units.   This will make it harder on the opponent and improve your warhammer game.
