After playing warhammer for a while people often become interested in attending a tournament.   Perhaps you have played in other tournaments or sporiting events and this seemed like it might be fun.  There are a number of things to keep in mind when preparing for this as warhammer tournaments are a bit different.  On the practicle side this is going to take quite a few hours so have a plan for drinks and lunch.  Second when most people play a game amoung friends they play most points.  In tournaments many of the games will have scenarios which will make the game a little different so read the scenario carefully.  Further many tournaments judge sportsmanship as well as winning.  It is often better to lo be nice than to argue as the sportsmenship points you lose do not balance the battle points you gain.  As many people work ard on the painting of their army  be very careful of other people models.  Make a real effort to roll dice away from the action, do not touch an opponents models models without permission and try to handle only the base.  Finally enjoy yourself, look at the other armies, and talk with the other players.  After all you all have a shared interest in the hobby of warhammer.
